Should i text or facebook my crush asking him how grad night went?

so my crush is coming home from grad night. we usually talk on facebook, but we recently exchanged numbers due to a concert we were both going to but since then we haven’t communicated through phone. that was almost a week ago.

should i text to ask about grad night to open up that form of communication or should i play it safe with facebook?
